Update 2017

The ZWF and West Norriton Township partnered together to create the first ever all accessible playground in our township. Director, John Dzedzy work endless with us to make a dream of ours come true to honer Zachary for many years to come.

Update 2012

2012 has been a great year. The Montgomery County Intermediate unit and the ZWF opened up the first vision classroom in King of Prussia, on Henderson Road. This has been a dream of mine for a long time. My boys did not have this amazing opportunity and I am so thankful there is a class for other children with visual impairments. It is amazing that creating a preschool where visually impaired or blind children can thrive is priceless. For these children, to be able to and learn and be with their peers is a necessity. I want to thank Lisha Yochimowitz and Carol Bowin, Ben’s preschool teachers who make this dream come true. Teachers like you, make the DIFFERENCE in the lives of children.

Update 2012 continued…..

I’d like to thank the Make A Wish Foundation for granting Ben’s wish to visit Disney World. We went in May 2012 and had a blast. We stayed at Give Kids the World in Kissimmee. It was a truly amazing place with wonderful volunteers. The kids loved the pool, model train room and Matthew’s playground. Ben caught his first fish and Olivia auditioned for American Idol and she was fantastic. Leah loved getting her hair, nails done too.

Update 2011

Research for Ben has been super slow. Technology can only take them so far. It’s frustrating when its your child. He still receives fresh frozen plama every two weeks. The hope is to keep him safe. Hosptial stays are all over the place but the Fall and Winter are always scary.

Olivia in 4th grade and supports her brother in many ways. Our little spunky addtion, Leah is going into preschool this year. Time is flying.
